Henry Hartshorne (1823-1897) was the son of Dr. Joseph and Anna (Bonsall) Hartshorne of Philadelphia. He graduated from Haverford School in 1839 and received his medical degree in 1845 from the University of Pennsylvania. He was an author of medical books and poetry.
